Forever” celebration hosted by the Women's Endowment Fund. This year’s event, themed “Strength in Action,” brought together nearly 400 community leaders at Quaker Station to celebrate women as philanthropists and to highlight the meaningful impact of investing in women and girls across our region.
The evening began with a VIP reception, followed by dinner and a powerful program centered on advancing opportunity, equity, and long-term impact for women in our community. Guests embraced the theme by wearing shades of gold, symbolizing strength, resilience, and collective action.
Celebrating Leadership and Impact
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Judith A. Read Tribute Award for Service & Advocacy for Women to Bernett L. Williams.
Williams, Chief Engagement Officer at Akron Children's, was recognized for her outstanding leadership, commitment to community partnerships, and dedication to advancing belonging, respect, and equitable access. Her extensive career includes serving as President and CEO of the Akron Urban League and contributing to numerous organizations across the region.
Her recognition reflects the spirit of the event—honoring individuals who demonstrate leadership, advocacy, and a deep commitment to empowering women and strengthening communities.
