Community Outreach
Mike is the Board Treasurer of Pangea Educational Development (PED), a not-for-profit organization that seeks substantial and sustainable change to structural inequalities around the world through the power of literacy and access to education. Through its programs training teachers, originating culturally relevant texts in several different languages, and providing access to books via their Ugandan Mobile Library program, PED works tirelessly to close the gap on childhood literacy development around the world. During the COVID-19 pandemic, PED wrote multiple books in more than 20 different languages to educate children on the circumstances affecting them during a very uncertain time.
