The Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) is the global leader in supply chain organizational transformation, innovation and leadership. As the largest non-profit association for supply chain, ASCM is an unbiased partner, connecting companies around the world to the newest thought leadership on all aspects of supply chain.

Due to the pandemic, they have moved all of their CPIM (Certified in Planning & Inventory Management), CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) and CLTD (Certified in Logistics, Transportation & Distribution) classes ONLINE with live instruction.  Classes are being offered on weekdays, weekends, and weekday evenings.

Both a CPIM Part 1 course and a CSCP course are starting in late January.  The CSCP course is starting 1/25 and will meet online Tuesday evenings from 6-9pm Eastern Time for 15 times (45 hours of instruction).  The CPIM Part 1 course will begin on 1/26 and meet online Wednesday evenings from 6-9pm Eastern Time for 10 times (30 hours of instruction). They also have an online CPIM Part 2 course scheduled to begin in April that will include 54 hours of instruction.

The CPIM classes provide more in-depth education on operations management and materials management (scheduling, planning, forecasting, inventory management, etc.) topics than what is covered in CSCP classes.  CPIM is a series of 2 courses, as compared to CSCP being 1 faster-paced course.  The CSCP course covers a wider scope than the CPIM and CLTD courses, as it encompasses the entire supply chain.

Please share this with friends and colleagues that might benefit from APICS-related education, and encourage them to email CPIM@AkronAPICS.org, CSCP@AkronAPICS.org, or CLTD@AkronAPICS.org to get on the mailing list for these courses, or call 330-668-6084.
