Meaden & Moore is proud to share that Sarah K. Lynch, CPA, Partner-in-Charge of the Assurance Services Group, recently facilitated the Conway Center for Family Business program “Women in Leading Businesses: Opportunities and Challenges.”

Serving as event facilitator, Sarah helped guide a thoughtful and engaging discussion focused on leadership growth, navigating complex organizational and family dynamics, and building long-term influence and confidence.

Supporting Leadership at Every Stage

The program brought together women leaders, emerging professionals, and allies from family-owned and closely held businesses to explore topics such as:

  • Stepping into leadership roles with clarity and presence
  • Balancing legacy considerations with evolving organizational needs
  • Finding and using one’s voice effectively at the leadership table
  • Developing resilience, confidence, and influence over time

The session created space for meaningful dialogue and shared experiences among participants who understand the unique responsibilities — and opportunities — that come with leadership in family and privately held organizations.

Strong Panel Perspectives

Sarah also facilitated a panel of accomplished leaders who shared insights from their own leadership journeys:

  • Chelsea King Deane, CEO — King Business Interiors
  • Jane Grote Abell, Executive Chair & Chief Purpose Officer — Donatos Pizza
  • Genevieve Reiner Mills, COO & In-house Counsel — Oakland Nursery

Together, the panel explored practical leadership strategies, mentorship, and the importance of fostering inclusive environments where diverse perspectives are valued.

Advancing Leadership and Community Engagement

Sarah’s role in leading this discussion reflects Meaden & Moore’s continued commitment to supporting leadership development, strengthening business communities, and empowering professionals to grow and lead with confidence.
