The recognition celebrates women leaders across the community who have stepped into new leadership roles since 2023 and are making a meaningful impact through professional leadership, service, and community involvement.
Kendra leads the firm’s not-for-profit practice and brings more than 20 years of experience serving privately held businesses and not-for-profit organizations. She works closely with organizations on assurance and advisory matters, including internal controls, accounting best practices, and governance considerations, helping leadership teams make informed financial decisions.
In addition to her client service work, Kendra is actively engaged in the community. She currently serves as Treasurer/Finance Chair of the United Way of Summit & Medina County and holds board positions with the Greater Akron Chamber, Akron Community Foundation, and Akron Art Museum. Within the firm, she also serves on Meaden & Moore’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.
Kendra’s recognition also reflects Meaden & Moore’s continued focus on serving not-for-profit and community-based organizations. Through assurance, advisory, and governance support, the firm works with organizations to strengthen financial reporting, improve internal controls, and help boards and leadership teams make informed decisions. Her work regularly involves collaborating with executive directors, finance committees, and boards of trustees to address compliance, transparency, and operational accountability.
As regulatory expectations and donor reporting requirements continue to increase, organizations are seeking advisors who understand both financial reporting standards and the operational realities of mission-driven entities. Kendra’s experience working directly with boards and leadership teams helps organizations navigate audits, agreed-upon procedures, and best practice implementation while maintaining focus on their mission and community impact.
