Written by Allen Littman | Jul 17, 2018 2:17:00 PM

With all the changes made in the recently enacted tax reform legislation, we could write a book. Instead, we thought sharing a video would be an easier way for our experts – who specialize in international tax services – to help take the mystery out of international tax laws and the new tax legislation, Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA).

In this video, you will get a glimpse into my 25 years of experience in Washington, D.C., practicing U.S. domestic and international income tax, legislation, business planning, and tax controversy and disclosure matters to walk through the international provisions of the new tax reform law from several different perspectives, such as the following:

  • Key international tax reform inbound and outbound provisions
  • Official Congressional revenue estimates
  • Key events, tax policy, and economic issues leading up to tax reform
  • Updates on current events in international tax

The video will provide background on the legal and economic issues and legislative objectives for these provisions to help viewers understand the significance of the international provisions, how they modify prior law, and whether the Congressional objectives will be met.

We will also address the international rules that were not changed in this legislation, as well as other current events in the world of international tax from the perspective of both planning and compliance.
