M&M Business Solutions Acquires Wood Technologies of Meadville, PA

M&M Business Solution is pleased to announce it has acquired the manufacturing consulting firm of Wood Technologies, Inc., of Meadville, PA.  Wood Technologies provides consulting, training, programming, and software implementation services to small to mid-size manufacturing companies in the United States and Canada.

Meaden & Moore Welcomes Susan Marlar

Susan Marlar joins Meaden & Moore as a Tax Director in our Wooster, Ohio office.

Prior to joining Meaden & Moore, Susan worked for national accounting firms in Dallas, New York, and Charlotte in the Tax and Personal Financial Planning area. She continued her career as a partner with a local firm in Charlotte providing tax and accounting services to closely-held businesses and individuals, Internal Revenue Service audit representation, estate planning and compliance.

Susan graduated from Baylor University with a Masters in Tax, is a certified public accountant, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is active in the community serving on the Wooster City School Board, Wooster City Schools Business Advisory Communication Committee, Youth Entrepreneurship Committee, Financial Planning Committee and College Hills Retirement Village. Susan currently co-chairs the Wooster Rotary Parade of Flags Program.

Meaden & Moore Appoints Carlin Culbertson and Brian Dunfee to Senior Managers

Meaden & Moore is pleased to announce the appointments of Carlin Culbertson, CPA and Brian Dunfee, CPA, CEBS to Senior Managers.

With almost 10 years in public accounting, Carlin has extensive auditing experience serving a wide variety of clients in various industries, including construction, manufacturing, mining and distribution.   Carlin is responsible for planning, executing, and managing audits and reviews of large privately held companies.  In addition, Carlin serves as a mentor and role model for our staff and conducts training programs to aid in their development.

Carlin holds a bachelors degree in accounting and a minor in entrepreneurship from the University of Akron.  He is a member of both the Ohio Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.  Carlin serves on the Board of Directors for the Lupas Foundation of America, Greater Cleveland Chapter and was named their 2011 Volunteer of the Year.  He also sits on the Ohio Contractors Association, Dues, Audit and Finance committee.

Brian has extensive audit experience with over 12 years in public practice, especially in the field of employee benefit plan audits.  He has a strong understanding of the operations and compliance of many types of employee benefit plans.  Brian advises clients on best practices and provides expert guidance on how to improve plan processes and protect fiduciary liability.

Brian holds a bachelors degree in business from The Ohio State University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Ohio Society of CPAs, and serves on the Board of the Central Ohio Chapter of Certified Employee Benefits Specialists (CEBS).    Mr. Dunfee is also a member of the Finance Committee of the National Parkinson Foundation, Central and Southeast Ohio Chapter.
