ESOP Accounting Issues

Michelle Buckley, an Owner at Meaden & Moore and the Practice Leader of the Benefit Plan Group will be speaking at the Great Lakes Regional ESOP Conference on October 20, 2017.
 
There are 42 breakout sessions being presented throughout the two-day conference, which includes a full Board of Directors track and several breakout sessions for companies either thinking about establishing an ESOP or who are new to the ESOP community.  The conferece takes place at the Kalahari Resort & Convention Center in Sandusky, Ohio.
 
Michelle will be speaking with Peter Chudyk on ESOP Accounting Issues. Individuals who do the daily accounting and transactions in their ESOP company would benefit from attending.
 
Topics will include annual bookkeeping, record keeping, journal entries to record the share release, the impact on the financial statements, and how to explain the presentation differences between an ESOP company and a non-ESOP company.
